oHaving a central theme or idea carried throughout the
article.
oEliminating extraneous material and closely relating all the
material in the article to the central theme
oBridging the transition from each paragraph to the next one
easily and smoothly and avoiding abrupt changes of
thought.
Resembles the conclusion of
other forms of expository and
narrative writing.
It may be a condensed summary of the
whole article, reviewing briefly the
salient facts brought out in the article
It may be the climax or highest point of
interest in the article as is frequent in a
short story.
It may be cutback or flashback to the
introduction
