You are given 10 minutes to present your poster and 5 minutes for Q&A session. Presenter 1. All members should study their poster. 2. During the presentation, all members should participate. WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL MACROECONOMICS? • deals with issues in international finance and macroeconomics, and covers such issues as i. the markets for currencies, ii. balance of payments definitions, and iii. monetary unions. • For example: i. Governments measure the value of exports and imports, as well as the value of financial assets that flow into and out of their countries. ii. Exchange rates - measure how much domestic currency can be exchanged for foreign currency. FOCUS • We address questions such as: I. How does trade affect the economy at the macro level? II. What is meant by a country’s BOP? III. How are exchange rate determined? IV. Why does financial capital flow rapidly and sizably across country borders? V. Should several country adopt a common currency? VI. How do international transactions affect the use of monetary and fiscal policy to pursue domestic targets? VII.
