 Introduction
 In April 2017 BS 4 emission norms came in to effect as per this
norms all motorcycle manufacture company had to make changes in
their engines to match these norms.

 BS 4 main concern was Air Pollution Control and While doing this
How to increase Efficiency of IC Engine.

Due to more industrialization & urbanization energy demand is

increasing with increase in pollution also.

So to reduce pollution continuous research was going on catalytic

converters and Alternative Fuels which can be used instead of
Gasoline.

 But these changes made in IC engine was directly and indirectly affecting
performance of engine.

SUMMERY
In this Paper Author Concluded That how Air can be
Minimized by Converting Harmful that comes from
outlet of an engine to useful one.
In This research paper author has proved that by doing
thermal coating on piston head how thermal shocks ad
stresses can be minimized
In This research paper to increase overall as well as
thermal efficiency of an IC engine and to improve
performance how thermal barrier protection is useful.
In this research paper author discussed about by using
water spraying technique directly in to combustion
chamber how overall heat temprature inside
combustion chamber and on piston head can be
reduced.
This research paper is about other than gasoline what
other energy We can use to run an IC engine.

• When BS 3 norms came in action motorcycle manufacturer started
using Two Way Catalytic Converter to reduce emissions.
• After this to control Emissions and to improve Efficiency of an IC
engine research was going on.
• Which result in introduction of THREE & FOUR WAY CATALYITC
CONVERTER.

Performance of an IC Engine also.
• To increase Overall, Thermal efficiency Heating, Thermal Shocks,
Thermal Stresses plays a vital role.
• By using this method heat, shocks, stresses on piston head
reducuced.

Direct Water Injection Into Combustion
Chamber of an IC ENGINE
• Water Injection method is getting very popular in Diesel engines as it
reduces Excess Temperature In combustion Chamber by allowing Engine
run cooler for a longer period of time without droping efficiency rate.

• But this method also has its own disadvantages like

• Problem while Cranking engine in Cold Start condition
• Refilling the methanol / H2O tank
• Addition of extra Weight
