Fair treatment of men and women but it doesn’t

mean men and women are the same.


It refers to let each of the respected classes to
showcase their calibre in their true spirit.
It requires equal enjoyment of men and women of
socially valued goods that are provided by the
society, opportunities, resources and
technologies.

 A word which describes those individuals
who are categorised by their will or by the
society itself as neither man nor woman.
 It comprises words like transgenders,
homosexuals,gay and bisexuals and those who
are lesbians.
 In India they are even denied the basic rights to
which they are entitled for example right to
live with dignity, personal liberty and that of
education and freedom of expression.
 Discrimination

 Rape and sexual assault

 Child nabbing

 Unwanted attention

 Rejection of entry
 About 68% of the girls in india are married
below the permissible age of marriage.

 Around 15% are married below the age of “ten


years”.

 It causes poor self image and victimisation in


front of the others.
 Lack of education

 Lack of healthcare (women represent 50% of the total


population)

 Limited access to resources

 In workplace (women represent 43% of the total


workforce of the world)

 When the sexist language created masculinity
as its only means to acknowledge.
 Which discouraged women to apply for jobs.
 It did created a great difference to interpret
comprehend and recall any of the topics so
mentioned.
 So it was percieved and understood in terms of
men only and hence women were left out.
 Those words or sexist language, phrases or
expressions which unnecessarily create a
lagoon of difference between men and women.
 It thus refers to all those languages which
break this language stereotype.
 For example men, guys, maid, stewardess,
maiden, lady, office girls, lady doctor, female
nurse.
 A lot has to be done in the field of inequality
prevailing in our society.
 Women have to come forward to put their
grievances aside and acknowledge their issues.
 Issues of injustice at workplace and that at
home should be cured by teaching them to
have their opinions voiced.
 All of us have to see it and address it
unanimously.
