Definition :
 Language is The most important kind of human
symbolic communication system. (Hint: all
societies have such a communication system
even though they may be illiterate.)

 Culture is An integrated pattern of human

knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends
upon the capacity for symbolic thought and
social learning.(Hint : Culture is a powerful
human tool for survival, but it is a fragile
phenomenon. It is constantly changing and
easily lost because it exists only in our minds.
Our written languages, governments, buildings,
and other man-made things are merely the
products of culture. They are not culture in
themselves.)

Language

The relationship between language and culture is deeply rooted.

Language is used to maintain and convey culture and cultural
ties. Different ideas stem from differing language use within
one’s culture and the whole intertwining of these relationships
start at one’s birth.
Language is the verbal expression of
culture. A culture's language contains
everything its speakers can think about
and every way they have of thinking
about things.
Contoh :
Sebuah kebudayaan dalam suatu daerah ingin
mengungkapkan objek gambar.
Dalam kebudayaan yang mereka kenal untuk
sebutan “PAHLAWAN” adalah “Orang Kuat
YANG suka MENOLONG”

For other example, the Latin language has no word for the female friend of a man
(the feminine form of amicus is amica, which means mistress, not friend) because
the Roman culture could not imagine a male and a female being equals, which
they considered necessary for friendship.

 Reality :
It is said that Japanese is an isolated language. In the
past it has refused to mix up with other languages,
just like the Japanese people did (Japan was closed
off to the world from 1639 to 1853).

Obviously, the language represents our culture.

Because of this, Japanese people are said to be
conservative, just like their language.

Apart from the language, and this is more of a cultural

thing, many Japanese national holidays are related to
seasons or climate: Spring Equinox Day (March),
Greenery Day (April), the day of the sea (July),
Autumnal Equinox Day (September) etc. In contrast,
I have heard that national holidays in the US are
more related to people: Martin Luther King Jr's
Birthday (January), Washington's Birthday (February)
and Christmas Day (December) for example.
