ANALYSES
1. The number of Independent and Instructional readers increase while the number of readers in
Frustration decrease as the learners move to another grade level.

2. There is an increase of readers in Frustration in Grade 7 this year. From 18.16% to 35.40%
which implies that there are learners who moved up in high school who are not yet ready.

Factors/Possibilities:
a. No study habit.
b. Child Labor.
c. No follow-up at home.
c1. Lack of reading materials at home. C2. Parents/Guardians are also non-readers
d. Increased number of learners.
e. Peer pressure.
ANALYSES
2. There is a decrease in number of readers in Frustration in Grade 8 to 10 as they learn to adapt in
the environment and the learning system in our school.
PROPOSED ACTION
1. Encouraged parents to have a follow up at home.

2. Reading hour should be done at least once a week per grade level.

2. Teachers should give exercises that improve their literary skills such as:

a. Vocabulary Exercises
b. Spelling Tests through cellphone apps
e.g: PROJECT SPELL (Spelling Practices to Enrich Language Literacy)
c. Reading with my Buddy (Reading hour)
d. Mini-library in every classroom
e. Use apps (cellphone/tablets) to improve reading skill such as “Speed Read”
f. Form a “Reading Club” .
