Evaporation
The warmth of the sun cause groundwater like
oceans, lakes, streams, ice and soils to rise into air changing
the water form from liquid to gas.

Example of evaporation is when your parents are

gas.
Condensation
Condensation is the process of turning
water vapor in the air into liquid. This is how clouds
are created. The molecules have a high amount of
energy and when they lose they slow down and form
a liquid. Imagine having a cold soda on a hot sunny day. You’ll see
the can “sweat” because the water molecules in the air hit the
colder surface and turn into a liquid.

Precipitation
Precipitation is the release of clouds in the
form of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail. Rain
begins when the small droplets join together getting
big enough for them to fall.
Precipitation can be both a liquid and solid. Rain is
of course the liquid form and snow or hail would be a solid.

How our earth receives water after

it has been evaporated.
Collection
After the clouds have precipitated the water is
released back on to earth. The water will drain and collect in
oceans, rivers, lakes, streams.

Next time you are at the beach you will

know, that water was not always there. it has been
recycled again and again through the water cycle.
