A Giant Leap-Stepping Stone
• AMG was founded as a racing engine forge in
1967 under AMG Motorenbau und
Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (AMG Engine
Production and Development, Ltd.)

 A Philosophy in Making
• The AMG philosophy has always been, “One Man, One
Engine” and continues even now. Every AMG engine is
hand-built from start to finish by one of around 50 AMG
Master Engine Builders in Affalterbach, Germany at the
special facility.
• The final step in the assembly process, the engine-
maker places an engraved plaque with his signature on
the engine cover.
