TYPES OF DEPARTMENTS
Production Process Chart
BLENDING
Raw materials used in
spinning mails re always
in homogeneous in their
characteristics due to
area to area and pick
to pick. For the purpose
of getting good regular
yarn it is very important
to blend or mix different
types of cotton.
CARDING

Carding produces a thin sheet of

uniform thickness that is then
condensed to form a thick,
continuous, untwisted strand
called sliver. When very fine
yarns are desired, carding is
followed by combing, a process
that removes short fibers, leaving
a sliver composed entirely of
long fibers, all laid parallel and
smoother and more lustrous than
uncombed types. Carded and
combed sliver is then spun.
COMBING
 Combing separates out the short
fibers by means of a rotating
ring or rectilinear row of steel
pins. The fibers in the ' top ' it
produces, have been
straightened and lie parallel to
each other.
 When combing wool, the
discarded short fibers are called
noils , and are ground up into
shoddy. In general there are two
main systems of preparing fiber
for yarn. System are known as
worsted and woolen system.
Worsted system is defined by
removal of short fiber by
combing and top preparation by
gelling.
DRAWING

 Doubling & Drafting of sliver.

 Parallelization, Strengthening
& Individualization of sliver.
 In built digital auto leveller in
LRSB Draw frame to produce
even & uniform sliver.as per
required Hank.
SIMPLEX
 The condensed drafted
sliver now called as rove
is twisted and wound in
to packages.
 The package is built
layer by layer with a
system by use of a
variation of the lift
timed to give a shape of
package that will hold
the soft low twisted rove,
required to unwind at
the spinning department.
SPINNING
 The production policy is
both make to order and
make to stock. i.e., for the
manufacturing of yarn
only when the order is
placed, the specified
quality yarn is produced.
 Quality is checked at
each level, starting from
the quality of raw
materials to the final
output i.e., yarn.
AUTOCONERS
 Yarn produced from
spinning department is
winded in the form of Cops.
 More number of cops is
winded into single
package. That is called
cone.
 It is easy for transporting
and processing in warping,
knitting to produce fabrics.
PACKING

Pack the finished yarn

in cartons/pallets as
per the customer
requirements.
