“Measurement is quantitative”
So, it can be concluded that the
measurement is the process of giving a
number (score) of the learning process and
results based on certain criteria or size that
is clear and in accordance with the
objectives set in order to give judgment ,
which is a decision on the process and
learning outcomes
• Test is a procedure used in the
measurement and assessment
framework. (Sudjiono, 2003)

Function of Assessment
• Based on Cronbach :
(A) Assessment helps students realize themselves to
change or develop their behavior.
(B) Assessment helps students get the satisfaction of
what they had done.
(C) Assessment helps teachers to determine whether
the teaching methods used are adequate.
(D) Assessment helps teachers create administrative
considerations.

Function of Assessment
• Anas Sudijono :
1. To obtain information about the results that have
been achieved in the implementation of educational
programs
2. To be able to know the relevance of educational
programs that have been formulated, the objectives
to be achieved
3. To attempt repairs, adjustments and improvements
to education programs that are seen as more
efficient and effective, so that the aspired goal, to
be achieved with the best possible results.
