Source of energy Source of energy in the sun is at its core The energy is released into space primarily as electromagnetic radiation This radiation as heat and light Solar energy has come in to existence since the birth of the universe living organism has been utilizing the solar energy for the last millions of years. Not only is this, but the existence of having organism totally dependent on the solar energy. Man has started using extensively are natural resources of energy on the earth when he has started running after the development as a result, the sources of coal, gas, etc. Are on the verge of exhausting. So the alternative source of energy is to be searched. The alternative sources include solar energy, wind energy, energy from ocean etc. From the last few years solar energy is used for the generation of electrical power from it. In this project we shall study about the solar power generation. PRINCIPLE OF SOLAR ENERGY:-
Solar energy is created by light and heat which is emitted by sun
, in the form of electromagnetic radiation Which today’s technology we are able to capture this radiation and Turn it into usable forms of solar energy such as heating ADVANTAGES OF SOLAR ENERGY:- 1.Solar energy is renewable resource. 2.Solar power is non – polluting 3.Light from the sun free 4.Solar power is quite flexible 5.solar cells require minimal maintenance 6.solar power is silent 7.The source of energy is in exhaustive. 8.Plant can be installed at the place of utilization, which reduces the transmission cost. 9.Solar power generation plant can be installed at the place where electrical energy cannot be supplied by other means. DISADVANTAGES:- 1.The plant can be installed only at the place where the sunlight is available throughout the year. 2.One of the disadvantages is the initial cost of the equipment used to harness the suns energy. Solar energy technologies still remain costly alternative to the use of readily available fossil fuel technogies. 3.As price of solar panels decreases, we are likely to see an increase in the use of solar cells to generate electricity. 4.It is necessary to use the energy storage device as the solar energy is not available during night period. 5.It requires large spaces. Initial cost is high. USES FOR SOLAR ENERGY:- 1.heating of water
