Preparing for Exam
 Shortly before or after graduation you will need to apply for
licensure from the board of nursing in the state or territory
where you wish to practice

 You will receive an NCLEX-RN Examination Candidate Bulletin
with an application and information how to apply for NCLEX-RN
from Pearson /Vue website http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex
 Application fee ~ $30-195 varies by state ~ $200 NCLEX exam

 After successfully passing the comprehensive predictor exam at
FDU, the state board of nursing will be notified by the Director
of Nursing
 The state board will notify Pearson of your eligibility to take the
NCLEX-RN
 Pearson will send you an Authorization to Test (ATT) and a list
of testing centers. Exam must be taken before expiration date
usually 3 months or 90 days

 NCLEX Exam 6 hours 10min break after 2 hours and
3 ½ hours Sylvan Center
 available by appointment rather than set date
 265 questions/multiple choice/multiple multiple/matching
 15 sample test items
 The margin of error is very small the indication is clear that
one has either passed or failed. Exam may end at 75 items
 Exam results by the Board of Nursing 2-4 weeks (Diagnostic
Profile). Pay extra fee if you want results in 48 hours
 45 days waiting period for retake
