Definition

 Atopic Dermatitis is a genetically inherited disease. Characterized by

inflammation, pruritus and eczematous lesions with episodes of exacerbation
and remisi. These diseases affect the quality of life of patients and families
and those closest to pasien.
Etiology

The cause of atopic dermatitis is still unknown but there are 2 theories.
1. Immunology deficieny
the level of Imuniglobulin E (IgE) is increasing and the indication of T cell
that less functioning

2. Beta andrenergic blockage receptor on the sin

Classification

According to Juanda and Sularsito 2002, type of atopic dermatitis by age divide
into:
1. Form Infantil (ages 2 months - 2 years).
2. Form children (age 3 - 11 years).
3. Form adolescents and adults (12 years - 30 years).
