What is an

adjectives?
• An adjective is a word that tells us more about a noun.
• Nouns are 'naming' words, they are a person, place or
thing.

• Adjectives can be used before a noun.


• Adjectives also can be used after certain verbs.

• We can often use two or more adjectives together.


• They have same form in the singular and plural.

JEFF’S BIRTHDAY PARTY
Next Saturday is Jeff’s birthday. Elizabeth is going to send
him a beautiful birthday card. Everyone in the office is going to sign
the card. Elizabeth is going to throw a surprise party to Jeff. Anna
and Angela are going to help Elizabeth with the party. Angela is
going to make a big chocolate birthday cake, and Anna is going to
write a special poem for Jeff. Everyone is going to eat and drink a lot.
Bill is going to tell some silly joke. Then they’re all going to sing
“Happy Birthday”. Jeff is going to make a wish and blow out the
candles. The party is going to be a wonderful surprise for Jeff.
MY DOG BLACKIE

This is my dog, Blackie. It is a small black dog with a


bushy tail. Every day I take it for a walk to the park. It runs
everywhere and plays with its round ball on the grass. When
we come back it eats food and then lies on the carpet. At night it
sleeps on a blue rug near my bed. One day last year I took him
for a walk but lost it. It could be anywhere. I went home and
told my parents. They searched the park and then went to the
police. A few days later a policeman came to my house. Blackie
was with him. I was very happy to see it back home.
REAL STORY-TELLER

Tommy brown is a real story-teller. No one believes what he saying


because he always tells lies. He lives in a small village and works on a
farm near his village. One night last week Tommy finished work late.
It was dark and cold. Suddenly he heard a strange noise so he looked
up. It was s UFO with bright flashing lights. It comes down towards
him and he saw two green men looking at him. He screamed, dropped
his leather bag and runaways. When he arrives at the village he mats
some villagers and started to tell them the news but they all laughed at
him. No one believes Tommy.
