How to implement
o First, you look at an existing service process, and you split it into it’s various
steps.
o Next, you look at each component or step, and you ask the question: ‘What’s
the purpose of this or, what’s the real added value, or if there’s a way to improve
it?’ (There’s always a way to improve it)
o You can use certain techniques for this step, for instance: You can take a
certain verb from a list of verbs, and you apply it.
o Let’s say you choose the verb ‘Replace’ or ‘Eliminate’, you can say ‘what stage
can we replace this process with’, or ‘What can we eliminate from the process
that has low added value’.

intangible, and products are tangible.

oProcess innovation is the implementation of a new or significantly improved

production or delivery method. It could include new ways of delivering the
service to the customers, or improving it, so it’s not too different from service
innovation.
