interest, who collaborate by sharing
ideas, information, and other resources.

• Community is a group of people who help


each other, get the thing that they need
and want.

power to make change in the world.

A community for the people

A community for people whom share
the same common interest.

A community for people united by
the common situation or challenge.

• Urban communities are cities.
• Urban community are often busy amd crowded.
Main Features Of Urban
Communities
Urban Families:-
They have nuclear family systems.
Women equally participate in finance.
Family members are basically independent.
Transportation:-
Urban communities has many modes of
transportation like cars , buses , trains etc.
Occupations:-
An urban community has many types of businesses
that offers goods and services like restaurants,
apparel shops , drug stores etc.
Architecture:-
Buildins in urban areas are often very tall like
apartment buildings.
Population:-
Often there is large number of population living in
urban areas because of its day by day increasing
facilities.

There arw fewer people are there.

Main Features Of Rural
Community
Rural Family:-
They are more nuclear than extended families.
Husband and wife more or less have equal
authority.
There is strong dependence on family.
Rural Health And Nutrition:-
Health services are limited.
Malnutrition is observed in some areas.
Religion:-
Faith on the religion amd universal power is
found in the life of villagers.
Agriculture:-
Main occupation is agriculture which involves
dependence on nature. Nature gives the livelihood
to them.
Importance Of Rural
Development
Rural development is a national necessity and has
considerable importance in country.
Rural development includes agricultural growth,
putting up of economic and social infrastructure,
public health, village planning etc.
Rural Community And Social
Structure
• Communities are small.
• Population density is low.
• Cultural advantages are few.
• Occupation of people are usually agriculture,
fishing and food gathering.
Suburban Communities
• Suburban communities are usually close to, but not
in the , cities.
• There are fewer people than in Urbana
communities but more than rural communities.
• Houses are often in neighborhood and many
people have yards.
• Natural areas are alse present.
• Many people livees in apartment but buildings are
not as big as in urban areas.
