newspaper owned by The Times Group.

It is headed by brothers Samir and Vineet Jain.

It is the fourth-largest newspaper in India by circulation and largest


selling English-language daily in the world.

It is the oldest English-language newspaper in India still in

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The TIMES OF INDIA is the largest selling English daily in India which is
owned by The Times Group. But the circulation in Thrissur District is
comparatively lower than HINDU this study is conducted to find
customer perception towards English dailies. The study aims at giving
the organization an insight into the preference and perception of
customers towards English dailies.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

•To know the general perception of readers towards English dailies in Thrissur.

•To gauge the elements which make the customer prefer other English dailies over

times of India.

•To identify the areas to improve for Times of India to increase customer

acceptance.

•To identify the factors that influences the people to choose a particular English

daily
The research design that is used in my study is descriptive research design. Data
required for my study is collected through questionnaire method.
Questionnaire for my survey was based on the objectives and collect the information
through the direct meetings The sample method used for the sampling is
convenience sampling. The sample size used for the survey is 100 respondents
which is focused on other English news paper consumers than The TIMES OF INDIA
Conducted a survey for finding customer perception and what are the
factors that Affects the decisions for subscription. Took a sample of
100 samples for the study. Created a Questionnaire for the survey.
Based on the survey found the customer perception towards English
dailies. Questionnaire purely based for finding the customer
expectations.

DAILY THAT YOU HAVE SUBSCRIBED?

Here we can find out one of the main reason why people choosing other English dailies.
43% of customers choosing other news paper because of lack of city news.
TIMES OF INDIA have the Thrissur edition itself still there is less circulation.
It shows the failure of the marketing team about Thrissur edition.

news so from this point of view company should improve these areas.
