 ARCAM
─ There is about 75 system globally whereas about 1/3 is in
US. It is really only 2 companies that are service bureaus
in US; CalRAM in Semi Valley, CA focusing on aerospace
and Medical Modeling in Golden, CO with focus on medical
implants. Both CalRAM and MM have 2 machines each.
─ There is also 2 implant manufacturer in Europe that have
full blown EBM manufacturing of CE marked Acetabular
cups. There is about 30,000 cups made with EBM and
about 10,000 of them are already implanted in human.
─ You are right, most systems are in Europe and US but
there is 5-7 systems installed in Asia as well but no
systems in Australia and Africa.
