WHEAT PROCESSING/ MILLING METHOD:
First of all
What is Wheat?
Wheat is one of the most important cereal
grain, which is used to make four, bread
pasta etc.it is consumed in abundance by
the people throughout the world.

What processing Method:


Is the Process by which wheat is ground into flour
As wheat arrives in the mill it is passed through a
cleaning process.
Wheat grain enclosed with an oudter
coveirg bran and endosperm which
contributes 70% Strach and germ which
is rich in fat.
Cleaning of Wheat
In milling Process very first step is cleaning which involves
separation of grains from its seed & from other grains this process
is done in 6 steps. Equipments used for cleaning known as
cleaning unit or cleaning house.

Magnetic Separator: it removes ferrous metal

known as rotating drum.
Aspirator: lighter impurities and dust are removed by
air currents which act as a vacuum.
De-Stoner: Separate the lighter form from heavy
material also remove stones.

Disc_ Separator: this will identify grain very closely


& remove Shorter, longer, round or in any way a
different shaped one.

Scourer: in this process outer most hisks are removed also
some impurities and dirt.
Color separator: Helps to simplify process of cleaning

Tempering wheat: After this grain is ready for milling


process called tempering the grain.
Grain is ready for milling now added moisture in small amounts. It
toughens bran & mellow inner layer endoderm. This process helps
the parts of the grain to seprater more easily. Temperature needed
depens on moisture content time required for milling in milling
process by grainding & stifilling wheat kernels are redcued Bleding,
Shifilng and again blednig should be taken care to get a consistent
product. Now kernels are sent to first break roll process here the
bram, germ and endoderm are separated in grinding wheat four to
five roller mill which helps to separate starch i.e flour from germs
and bran, the broken particles of wheat now dropped into huge
vibrating

flour & to improve the baking chararis tics.
