 Convergence and separation are the rotating trends of the world. In next decade, the IT infrastructure of
cloud computing will evolve from separation to convergence.
 With the cloud OS, computing, storage, and network resources of multiple vendors for a data center are
horizontally integrated. Open and standardized IT service interfaces are provided to the external systems,
implementing convergence based on utilization of legacy IT infrastructure.
 With all-in-one machines in convergent architecture and vertical convergence of single-vendor computing,
storage, and network resources, a new delivery model is provided. This modularized, one-stop, high-
performance, and cost-effective model is oriented towards the new infrastructure delivery.
 Customer value and drives will be manifested in the following aspects no matter how the IT architecture
evolves:
 Lower TCO
 More efficiency business deployment and lifecycle management
 Better business performance and user experience

Cloud Computing Definition

Definition from National Institute of Standards and

Technology (NIST)
Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-
demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing
resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and
services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal
management effort or service provider interaction.
