 Module 1 Assignment
 Module 2 Assignment
 Portfolio Reflection Paper
 Action Plan
 All
course requirements will
be submitted on the
Class/Course Page
1. Conduct a meeting with some teachers in your school.
Present to them what you learned about the four domains
of the school head’s responsibilities. These are in terms of
(i) school management, (ii) school communications, (iii)
school community relations and (iv) instructional
supervision. With the teachers, identify significant
problems under the four domains and the corresponding
possible solutions, which preferably are those that have
not been tried before.
2. Prepare a written text and photo documentation report
about your meeting with the teachers. Write an
appropriate introduction by describing the people
involved, the course learning you shared with them, and
the activity/ies and the process/es you used in identifying
the problems under the four domains of a principal’s
responsibilities.
3. Based on your meeting with the teachers, fill out a table
similar to the one on the following page. owing the
schedule set by the course or by your Tutor.
Domains of a School Problems Possible
Head’s Function Encountered Solutions

Instructional Supervision

School Management

School
Communications

School-Community
Relations
4. What did you realize from this activity about how you could
improve your work as a school head? Write your answer
(approximately 300 to 500 words) legibly on another
sheet/page. This will serve as your short reflection paper on
the practical activity with the teachers comprising your Module
Assignment. Make sure you append this also to your
accomplished Matrix on the Four Domains of a School Head’s
Responsibilities.
5. Submit your consolidated report that is your definitive Module 1
Assignment (text and photo documentation of the activity with
the teachers, matrix and short reflection) and submit/upload
the e-copy in iFLEX. If you use Microsoft Word, make sure that
the file name extension is .doc (not .docx or .odt or others).
Make a hard copy for your Learning Portfolio. (Use A4 size
paper/page set up, 12 points font, Times New Roman, one-and-
a-half line spacing).
6. Make sure that you submit on or before the deadline. Upload
your consolidated output in My Assignment 1 if you are using
IFLEX, or submit directly to your Flexible Learning Tutor (by
mail-email/other) following the schedule set by the course or
by your Tutor.
1. Assess your school’s curriculum based on what you
learned (applying one or a combination of curriculum
development models; best practices from discussions
and readings, etc.) from the module.
2. Call a meeting and assign teachers to prepare
enrichment curricula. If you cannot do an
enrichment curriculum for each of the subject
offerings in your school, then at least for two
subjects: one skill subject (e.g., Math, Language)
and one knowledge subject (e.g., Science). Make
sure the activities are well minuted and documented
(text and photo documentation is better). Attach
both enrichment curricula to the whole
documentation report. Make sure your enrichment
curricula also clearly indicates the enrichment
activities appropriate to the level and content.
3. Collect the enrichment curricula prepared by
the teachers.
4. Evaluate the enrichment curricula prepared by
the teachers and give them feedback.
5. Answer this. What did you realize from this
activity (Steps 1 to 4)? Attach this reflection to
the whole documentation report for submission
to your tutor for review and feedback. Include
the sample enrichment curricula. The report
should be one-page in length.
6. Make sure that you submit your assignment to
your FLT for review and evaluation on or
before the deadline.
 The Reflection Paper is about
everything that you learned
from the course (both Modules
1 and 2). Fill out the table and
submit the completed table on
iFLEX under MyReflection.
 The Reflection Paper should be
about 2-3 pages (approx. 500
words) in length
 Learning needs related to instructional
leadership identified at start of the course
 Brief summary of main learning activities
engaged in during the course
 Description of major learnings (knowledge,
skills, attitudes, values) gained from the
course with reference to specific learning
outputs (e.g., module assignments, pre/post-
test results, discussion group sessions)

applicability of course contents to their
workplace/position as school head
 Any challenges/areas of learning difficulty
experienced during the course and how they
were addressed/dealt with
 Significant learning insights

the learner feels they still need to further
develop/strengthen and ideas/thoughts on how
this will be accomplished

modalities of learning (self-instruction, group
discussion, print/Web technologies, tutor
support, etc.)
