General Information

• The H-Series MGR is equipped with a counter

shaft T/M.

• These T/Ms have eight forward speeds and six

reverse speeds.

• These speeds are electronically controlled by

the electronic control module (ECM).
(1) T/M CONTROL
Transmission Oil Cooler

• The T/M oil cooler is mounted next to the engine

on the right side of the M/C.

• T/M oil cooler uses engine coolant in order to

cool the T/M oil.

• The cooled oil is used for the T/M lubrication.

• Oil cooler relief valve setting is 520 kPa (75 psi).

(2) T/M OIL
COOLER
(3) T/M OIL FILTER
Transmission Oil Pump

• Supplies oil at a rate of 105 L/M at 2000 RPM.

• Contains:

-T/M scavenge pump which transfers oil

from T/M sump to differential sump.

-T/M charging pump which transfers oil from

differential sump to T/M filter.

(6) DIFFERENTIAL LOCK VALVE
Transmission Control Valve

• T/M control valve consists of one main relief

valve, one priority reducing valve, one manual
modulation valve, wiring harness, eight solenoid
valves, and eight modulating reducing valves.

• Provides the proper flows and pressures in order

to engage the desired T/M clutches.
(9) T/M CONTROL VALVE
T/M CONTROL
VALVE
Main Relief Valve

• The main relief valve is located in the top front

quadrant of the inside valve body.

• It provides a restriction in the flow that sets the

outlet pressure of the T/M pump.

• Oil bypasses the main relief valve flows to T/M

oil cooler line.
MAIN RELIEF VALVE
Priority Reducing Valve

• Located at the top rear quadrant of the inside

valve body.

• Reduces the supply pressure to the selector

valves and solenoids.

• Provides priority to the selector valves and to the

solenoids that are over the fill for T/M clutch or
over the modulation for the T/M clutch.
PRIORITY REDUCING
VALVE
Modulation Reducing Valve

• Provides a unique pressure for each T/M clutch

through different combinations of the springs
and the orifices.
MODULATION
REDUCING
VALVES
Solenoid Valves

• Solenoid valves connect pressurized oil from the

priority reducing valve to the corresponding
selector spool.
SOLENOID
VALVES
Transmission

• Transfers the power that transmitted from the

engine to the drive shaft, when the T/M modular
control is released.

• Has eight forward speeds and six reverse

speeds.

• REVERSE Gears & Clutches:

 1st R. Gear (No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7) clutches.
 2nd R. Gear (No. 3, No. 4 and No. 7) clutches.

 5th R. Gear (No. 3, No. 4 and No. 8) clutches.
 6th R. Gear (No. 3, No. 5 and No. 8) clutches.
Differential & Bevel Gear

• The differential is used to transfer power from

the T/M output shaft to the final drives.

• The differential allows the rear wheels to turn at

different rates of speed.

• The differential allows the inside wheels to turn

at a slower rate of speed than the outside
wheels when the M/C is turned.
Differential Lock

• Allows the M/C wheels to turn at equal speed as

if both tandem drives are being driven by the
same shaft.
• Differential lock control switch controls a
solenoid activated hydraulic valve, that is held
open (lock position) or closed (unlock position).
• Differential lock control switch can be engaged
in any speed.

(6) DIFFERENTIAL LOCK VALVE
Final Drive & Tandem Drive

• The final drive is a planetary gear system that

increases the torque to the wheels.

• The final drive also transfer torque to the wheels.

Center shift Lock

• Center shift function is to allow the arm

assembly and the circle to move in order to
place the blade in the correct position for the job.
 Center shift lock switch.
 Solenoid.
 Center shift lock cylinder.
 Center shift lock indicator.
 Center shift indicator.
