Presenter’s Bio
I have been an English teacher for over 12 years now. During that time, I have aimed at
thriving professionally by becoming a professional instructor, producing EFL materials, researching
and passing on my experiences as a teacher. My qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in English
obtained at Universidad Evangelica Boliviana, two post graduate online degrees from the University of
Oregon: Webskills and Introduction to TESOL Methods (thanks to two scholarships granted by the
USA Embassy in Bolivia), and a TKT Module 1 certificate issued by Cambridge (Language and
background to language learning and teaching). I am about to finish my studies to get my
TESOL certificate from the Arizona State University via Coursera. In July 2016, I started two
Masters: a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Máster Universitario en
Lingüística Aplicada a la enseñanza del Español como lengua extranjera. As an EFL materials writer, I
am a grammar enthusiast. (You can find all my Grammar Guides posted on eslprintables.com). As a
result of my practitioner researcher training there is an e-book (Easy Essays) and a TOEFL Grammar
instructional compilation (TOEFL Grammar 2016), both registered under Creative Commons licences.
About my presenter path, I have hosted several webinars on WizIQ during different MOOCs and I
have presented in a number of regional-wide and country-wide conventions, and in an international
one. Presenting is aimed at sharing the valuable knowledge that I had the blessing to get. Teaching
English has been at the center of all the previously mentioned and as now, I tutor TOEFL-ITP, TOEFL
IBT, IELTS, FCE, CAE, and TKT students. It is rewarding to see them thrive and get high scores. My
teaching philosofy is rooted in being a lifelong learner.
I believe in learning as a way of living and teaching as a way of giving back to my
community
