INTRODUCTION To Organization
 Founded in Beawar, Ajmer district in Rajasthan in 1979.
 One of the biggest cement producer in Northern India.
 Also produces and sells power as

Shree Power (Captive Power Plant) and


Shree Mega Power (Independent Power Plant). Shri B.G.Bangur, Chairman
 Headquarter in Kolkata.
 Ranked 4th in 2017 Responsible Business Ranking by IIM Udaipur.
 Shree Cement Produces Grade 33, 43, 53 & Shree Ultra Red-Oxide Cement in
in Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) &
Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC)
 16% Share in Rajasthan Cement Production.

CEMENT PRODUCTION
PROCESS:
 Lime Stone from mines and crusher are formed as Stacker.
 Re-claimer passes a uniform blend of Limestone.
 The limestone is grinded in VRM (Vertical Raw Mill) and
passed to preheater.
 From preheater it goes in Kiln and processed at 1200ºC- 1400ºC
and forms Clinkers.
 Clinkers are now crushed and cooled.
 This goes in Cement Mill with Gypsum and mix.
Now from there it goes in Silos and then to packing Plant.

1.Extraction of raw material.
• We need-- Calcium, Silicon, Iron, Aluminum.
• Limestone = Calcium.
• Sand + Clay = Silicon, Iron, Aluminum.
• Plants are setup nearby quarry of Limestone.
• This saves the cost of transportation, and help economically.
• The Limestone is extracted from mines by digging or blasting.
• The Limestone is then crushed there to gravels.
• Then transported to plant through belt or by road.
• Shree Plant have its own mines nearby but poor quality of Limestone.
• It outsource the good quality Limestone from its Ras Mines.

5. Cyclone Pre-heaters.

• 2 Units with 6 stage preheater.


• Cyclones are also present.
• Separates the undesired size particles
• 20% calcination is done in preheater itself.
• Temperature is reached to 300-400ºC before
entering the Kiln.

6. Kiln, Coal Mill.
• Heart of Cement Plant.
• Angled at 1º-4º
• 30-250 RPM
• Lumps are formed after Calcination.
• Temp. at output is 1400ºC (quarter of sun’s
average temp.)
• Fuel= Gas, Oil, Pulverized solid Fuel
• Dimension= 56m Long, 3.95m Dia.,
30-60mm thick walls

• Dimension= 5m Dia., 14 RPM
