ROOMS IN HOSPITAL
 OBJECTIVES
A nurse often finds people who ask the way or certain place like a ward,
emergency room, clinic, etc. in this unit, you will study how to give direction to
people or guest in a hospital.

Learners will:
a. Recognize department names in the hospital.
b. Learn or review directions (straight, right, left).
c. Practice using “You Are Here” maps.
d. Practice asking directions in the hospital.
 DIALOGUE
A visitor at Kusuma Husada Hospital. he is asking a nurse the way to patient
ward, in Mawar Room.
• Visitor : Excuse me, can you show me the way to Mawar Room?
• Nurse : Of course, it is only about two minutes walk from here. Well, first
go straight a head and then you arrive at a T-junction of this
street then turn left and Mawar Room is at your right side.
• Visitor : Where am I now?
• Nurse : You are in emergency unit.
• Visitor : Thanks a lot for your information.
• Nurse : That’s all right. Have a ice visit.

• 2) Visitor : Nurse, I’m looking for amaryllis ward. How can I get there?
Nurse : you go along this corridor, then you find stairs. Then you
move on second floor. Amaryllis room on right side of you.
• Visitor : I need to pay recover out patient . can you show me where
the cashier is?
Nurse : Well, can you go straight a head here administration. The
cashier next to. Beside on the pharmacy.

• Visitor : Excuse me, I need go to polyclinic. Can you show me the

way?
Nurse : Well, you must walk to through emergency until room, then
turn left until you see Laboratory Area.

• Visitor : Nurse, I must go to Radiology Unit. Can you tell me where

radiology unit is?
Nurse : that is at beside build. You must exit then turn right. In right this
build, you find radiology unit.
