About The Hotel

• The Great Eastern Hotel is a colonial era hotel


in the India city of Kolkata . The hotel was
established in 1840 or 1841.
• In 1883 the premises of the hotel were
electrified, thus probably becoming the first
hotel in India.
• In 2005 it was sold to a private company and
was reopened in November 2013 after an
extensive renovation as Lalit The Great
eastern

– Food primarily should look good, the plating & presentation skills

Chef’s who know the perfect blend of herbs & spices that release an
enticing gastronomic aroma.
– Food should finally taste good, this is achieved by the mastery &
experience of the chef’s that ensures food served is perfect in taste as

one the best properties in the world.
It gives me immense pleasure to thank our training
Manager, All the Senior Chef’s, Supervisors,
Speciality Chef’s, Bakery Chef’s, and all associates
for extending their encouragement & support, in
helping me in the training process.
I would like to thank my principal for this
opportunity of learning.
Overall it was wonderful learning experience and I
