Air Pollution
• Occurs due to the harmful gases, smoke, dust and
other things goes into the atmosphere.
Types of Air Pollution

Carbon Monoxide
Produced by the incomplete burning of
fossil fuels in vehicles.
No color and odorless
Death of the people.
Nitrogen oxides
Produced by the combustion process
Cause smog, acid rain and its associated effect

Lead
Produced by industrial sites and also by the waste burning
facilities
Cause kidney disease

Dioxin
Produced during the manufacturing and burning of plastic
Cause skin and the liver Issues

• Create public awareness in government level
• Follow the traffic rules and regulations
• Us national ambient quality standard
• The E.U air quality Standard

Pollution charge formula:

RS=(C-S)R×D×F÷U ×1000

C=pollution concentration
S=pollutant NEQS
R=flow rate m3day
D=day or year
U=pollutant unit kgs
F=fee par pollution unit
Conclusion
The majority of Air pollution is the result of human
activities.
Air pollution results from the burning of fossil fuels &
also from many other ways.
It is harmful for the health of humans & also can cause
variety of environmental effects.
Our government started a Punjab’s new smog policy
forestation to control air pollution.
Tress are effective in regulating carbon dioxide & other
gases.
We all need to understand our responsibility & use
alternative ways to reduce air pollution.
