• The Archaeological Society of India has put up warning signs
forbidding the tourists to be present in the precincts of the fort after sunset. Hence, no wonder, the fort ranks on the top of the list of most haunted places in the world. 2.KULDHARA VILLAGE(JAISALMER, RAJASTHAN) • Known to be a deserted ghost village, Kuldhara is located near Jaisalmer and has been abandoned since the 19th century. One night in 1825, all the people of Kuldhara and 83 nearby villages vanished all of a sudden. 3.KAMAKHYA DEVI TEMPLE,ASSAM • It is a Mahashaktipeeth or a place where the yoni or the genitals of the irked goddess is claimed to have fallen. The place experiences the menstrual cycle for three days in a specific month of the year, and when that happens, it is reported that the Brahmaputra River, which flows near the temple, turns red. 4. . Jwala ka Temple- a Temple of eternal flame Temple is dedicated to Sati, wife of Lord Shiva. What may leave you in dismay here is the eternal flame that is burning in the premises of the temple for 100 years without any source of fuel. 5.THE VILLAGE OF TWINS , KERALA • This village of Kodinhi is just 35 kilometres from Calicut and is home to around 2,000 families. These families are famous for their large number of twin births every year. The first twin birth occurred in 1949 and ever since then, the number has only kept increasing with time. Currently, the village has recorded 200 twins. 6.The Skeleton LakeRoopkund, Uttarakhand • Every year as the ice melts in Roopkund, a glacial lake located at an elevation of 16,500 feet, hundreds of human skeletons are seen floating. Rediscovered in the year 1942 by a forest ranger, the skeletons in the Roopkund Lake have since then been shrouded in mystery. With the help of forensics and radiocarbon tests, researchers believe that the corpses are around 1,200 years old. 7. Hazrat Qamar Ali Darvesh shrine, Maharashtra • a rock that weighs over 70 kilograms. This by itself is no mystery, but what if we tell you that the rock can only be lifted by 11 men using their forefingers while chanting the name of a particular saint? The rock is believed to be immovable the rest of times and cannot be lifted by anyone else. 8. Veerabhadra temple- the mystery of hanging pillar • The temple is known for its architectural beauty. But, what catches hold of most of the visitors is the hanging pillar of the temple. Although there are 7o pillars in the temple, but one pillar which lies hanging in the premises of temple is the piece of wonder. Thank you!
