What is Social Resposibility?
Social responsibility is the idea that businesses should
balance profit-making activities with activities that
benefit society. It involves developing businesses with a
positive relationship to the society in which they operate.
 The International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
emphasizes that a business's relationship to its society
and environment is a critical factor in operating efficiently
and effectively.

WHO ARE THE EMPLOYEES?
Employees are said to be the true
assets of an organization.

They say “Charity always begin at


home”
1. Ensure that they are happy
and satisfied with their jobs.

Do not treat your staff as labors.


Ensure that they are enjoying what they
are doing and also growing with time.
Stand by each other not only during
happy times but also sad moments.
Provide healthy working conditions to
your employees.
2. Encourage employees to
praise and appreciate each
other.
Give them ample oppurtunities to show their
talent.
Ask them to interchange roles.
Timely appraisals are important.
Ensure that employees who are really hard and
showing progress are suitably REWARDED.
Give incentives, cash prizes, bonuses for the
motivation and positive ambiance at the workplace.

1. Pay Taxes
Businesses must pay taxes and fees to the government in
the course of carrying out their operations.

These include taxes on reveneus, tariffs on imported


products and a number of administrative fees necessary
to register the business.
2. Follow Environmental
Regulations
Companies should face the heavy regulations
regarding the number and variety of pollutants
they are allowed to emit.
Businesses should limit their pollution more
than the law requires.
3. Abide By Labor Laws

Businesses must abide by a slew of laws


relating to how they treat their employees.

 Including how much an employee can be


paid, how many hours he may work and
criteria under which can be hired and fired
4. Avoid restrictive trade
practices

Companies are forbidden from


engaging in certain kinds of
restrictive trade practices that limit
competition.
5. Financial Disclosure

Companies must disclose a number of


financiual statement to the government
in the form of tax return and if the
company makes ownership of shares of
stock commonly available to the public as
well.
6. Avoid Corruption
Businesses are forbidden from bribing
public officials which would subvert
their ability to carry out their jobs
impartially in the interest of the
country citizen.

Companies must seek fairness and
truthfulness in all dealing with suppliers
especially pricing and licensing.
Companies should make certain that any
business transaction with supplier must be
free mfrom any form of coercion and
unnecessary ligitation.
Organization must be ethically responsible by
choosing only suppliers with fair and just
employment practices and those that have
respect for human dignity.

Treat your customers as kings and do not think of
them only when you have a pressure to meet your
targets within the stipulated time-frame
Build string relationship with your customers for
them not only to remain loyal clients but also bring
more people along with them
Avoid making fake promises and commitments.
Never lie to your customers.
Business dealing with customer’s money need to
be extra careful with clients.
Ensure long term growth and profits for the
organizations.

Recruitment policy is a statement on how you hire.
Recruitment is the process of searching the
candidates for employment and stimulating them to
apply for jobs and organization while selection
involves of series of steps by being screened of
candidates for choosing the most suitable person for
vacant post.
Staffing is commonly use to fill short terms roles for
specific project while recruiting firms deal with those
who are seeking jobs as well as those that are not.
PROMOTION
The advancement of an employee within a
company position or job tasks.

A job promotion may be the result of an


employees proactive pursuit of a higher
ranking or as a reward by employer’s for a
good performance.
RETENTION
An effort by a business to maintain a working

environment which supports current staff in remaining
with the company. Many employee retention policies are
aimed at addressing the various needs of employees to
enhance their job satisfaction and reduce the substantial
costs involved in hiring and training new staff.
