INTRODUCTION
It is a private secure and reliable peer-to-peer
aircraft communications network that uses the
same technology as the commercial Internet.
AI began as a supporting technologies for NASA’s
& SATS.
It provides fleet operations and passengers
support services.
AIRBORNE INTERNET
Airborne Internet is a proposed network in which all nodes will be located in
aircraft. The network is intended for use in aviation communications,
navigations and surveillance(CNS) and would be useful in businesses private
internet users and government agencies especially the military.
NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES AND
WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
POWERLINE TECHNOLOGY:
Way to connect computers in home or office using electrical
wiring.
Connect computer to network through the outlet that provides
power.
NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES AND
WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
WIRELESS NETWORKING:
Creates network by sending Infra-Red or Radio signals between
computers.
• BLUETOOTH:
Will allow any sort of electronic equipment to communicate with
each other.
Bluetooth like Radio communications should take place of wires or
Infra-red signals for connecting devices.
WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM
1G Technology
2G Technology
3G Technology
4G Technology
5G Technology
WHY AI?
• There are mainly two reasons for developing the AI.
1. SATS(small aircraft transportation system )
2. Need for higher bandwidth.
SATS:
Controls traffic in air.
Provides internet for the people in the transit.
HIGH BANDWIDTH:
Around 1- 5 mbps for home users
Around 5- 25 mbps for home users
PRINCIPLES:
To establish a robust, reliable, and available digital data channel to aircraft.
