2
 High Speed data acquisition architecture is
implemented which is a part of time resolved
fluorescence detection instrument.

 It can directly measure the time course of

fluorescent decay.

 Florescence decay of tris(2,2 bipyridyl)

ruthenium(2) is measured.
3
 Tradeoffs exist in analog signal processing
between gain, noise and bandwidth.

 Parasitic impedance will limit both achievable

gain and bandwidth.

 The max achievable Bandwidth of single stage

transimpedance amplifier with gain of 30kohm is
between 10MHz and 50MHz.

 High power consumption. 4

 Ultra wideband or high bandwidth

 High gain

6
 High gain bandwidth product(1.6GHz)

 High Bandwidth(275 MHz)

 Slew Rate(700v/us)

 Low input offset voltage(+/-250uv)

 Low input bias current(2pA)

7
 Convert current to voltage

 Low level signal should be amplified

 High Bandwidth

 The resulting exponential decay curve fit has
a lifetime of 532ns.
 Some reported lifetimes in the literature for
an aqueous solvent are 620ns and 469ns .

15
 Fluorescence spectroscopy in biological
systems, minerals, chemicals.
 Many substances can be identifiable.
 Intrinsic fluorophors in cells allow detection
of metabolites, DNA, RNA and other
biological molecules.
