 Background of the study
• Internet today is an overall substance whose nature can't be
effectively or just characterized.
• Internet has progressively turned into a perpetual resource in
training as far as picking up, educating and examine.
• Majority of the students are using the internet but they did not
fully aware what advantages they are getting on it when it comes
to academic purposes.
• Online education is becoming trend among the students around
the world.
 Objectives of the Study
• To research why students depend more on the Internet for
academic reason.
• To know what are the advantages of using internet in scholarly
purposes based on the opinions of the students of Grade 9 Mercury.
• To know how long students had use the internet.
• To know how helpful the internet to students.
• To know why students prefer using internet rather than using books
for their school works.
 METHODOLOGY
• We conducted a quantitative type of study.
• The respondents of this research comprises of 42 students from
Grade 9 Mercury at Ampid National High School, integrated in 4th
quarter.
• The questionnaire was divided into two sections.
I. Section A dealt with how frequent the respondents use
internet and reveals the usefulness of internet to students in
their daily academic activities.
II. Section B covers mainly on the advantages that the
students can get on using internet.

 CONCLUSION
• Internet brought students numerous advantages such as:
I. Improves students’ social skills.
II. used for communication in academic purposes.
III. For online education.
IV.It can provide more reliable source.
• Majority of students in Ampid National High School from Grade 9 Mercury
believed that they can use Internet in academic purposes because of its
advantages.
• Few students stated that they were not able to use it in academic purposes
because despite of its advantages.
