Grouping
1. Form groups of 3 or 4.
2. Choose a name for your group. The teacher will pick a theme for
the group names.
Activity 1: Scientists and Chemicals Shiritori
Activity 1: Scientists and Chemicals Shiritori
1. The teacher will draw lots the initial order of recitation.
2. The teacher will begin by stating the name of a famous scientist. The name of the stated scientist
will be written on the board.
3. The first group shall begin by giving the name of a scientist (full name or surname) or a chemical
(common or formal name) beginning with the last letter of the name stated by the teacher.
4. The same pattern would follow for the succeeding groups. Each group has 10 seconds to give an
answer.
5. If a group fails to answer, they will receive 0 points for that round. The other groups will receive +5
points.
The activity will proceed for five rounds.

Activity 2: Taking Turns
1. The teacher will draw the line chart in the board.
2. The groups will draw lots in the order of recitation.
3. The groups have one minute to discuss the answers to the chart.
4. The groups will take turns filling the line chart according to order of
recitation.
5. Each team has 5 seconds to answer during their turn.
6. Each correct answer is 2 point. Every incorrect answer correspond to -1
point. In the event no teams have given an answer to an item, the
teacher will give the answer for the game to continue.
