 What problems do the students of industrial

engineering have with the use of the
technological resources of the Universidad
Simon Bolívar?
PROBLEM STATEMENT

 Universidad Simon Bolívar has a commitment to

maintain its high quality institutional accreditation,
which is why it is necessary to measure the performance
of the technological elements used by industrial
engineering students at the Universidad Simon Bolívar,
in order to know its operating status . To
measure the efficiency of the technological resources
managed by the students
METHODOLOGY

 In this project descriptive and qualitative research will

be implemented, the project will only focus on answering
the questions posed without giving a description of the
causes or effects of the problem, the methodology used
by the project will be based on surveys of students and
teachers of the program of industrial engineering.
PROPOSAL

 Provide possible solutions according to the results

obtained in the research project.

 Publicize the most used books by industrial engineering

students that are not available in the university’s
databases.
 ARE THE MACHINERY AND ELEMENTS FOUND IN THE UNIVERSIDAD SIMÓN
BOLÍVAR TESTING AND EXPERIMENTAL LABORATORIES EFFECTIVE AND NOT
INCONVENIENT?

 In question 1 we can say that there is more than
50% of the students that show conformity to the
machinery and elements provided by the
university since they do not present problems
and are ready for use at there quired time.
ARE THE COMPUTERS OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
LABORATORY IN GOOD CONDITION, BOTH HARDWARE AND
SOFTWARE?

 In question 2 there is a high level of
disagreement regarding computers since some
computers are in poor condition impossible to
use, without the programs required by students
and on the other hand some of them have basic
programs. The possible solution that should be
given to this problem is that the people in charge
of the computer area keep the adequate and
updated programs that the engineers need for the
accomplishment of the projects and learning.

 Question 3 shows a state of conformity on the
part of the students. The classrooms have current
electronic resources with which one can work day
by day.

 In question 4, 70% of students disagree and
conformity is presented in 15 and 10% of them.
Since the university has databases for the career
of industrial engineering but not enough
information. The possible solution for this
problem is that the university provides more
databases of current and previous years
recognized for student satisfaction.
