Begin by improving your listening and observational skills. Observe people
whom you consider as good speakers at work and on television. Regardless of
your religion, take some time to watch the evangelists on television. chey have
elevated public speaking to an art. Listen to where they pause their words in a
sentence. For example, notice that good speakers will pause after an important
concept or just before reaching a conclusion to give the listener time to absorb
the information as much as to create anticipation.

be transmitted to the audience in an expressive way. One of the greatest
qualities a good speaker should posses is the ability to modulate his/her voice to
for effect. Hitting the nail right on the head is all about being able to convey

modulation may call for some practice, but it can be easily mastered over time.

maintain constant eye contact with the audience, as you speak.

Sometimes a person is not a good listener because his attention is constantly
wandering in and out of the conversation so he has difficulty following the

maintaining eye contact and you can retrain to a new habit.

role on how effectively you can deliver content to others. Little hand movement
and facial expressions can induce real life in your speech. Look around and be
