of the chassis in order to
maintain the centre of gravity
and braking performance as
the quality in weight helps in
deceleration. These are the

because the weight of the
engines is carried by all 4
wheels equally.
-this arrangement provides full space of chassis floor to use.

-engine is fitted behind the rear
axle, which some people call the
wrong place because it will put
the center of gravity behind the

Advantage:
-flat floor is available since
long propeller shafts are
eliminated.
-better adhesion on road
specially when climbing hill.

Disadvantages:
-while climbing hills, proper
adhesion may affected since
the weight of vehicles is
move to the rear, thereby
reducing the weight on the
front wheel.
-as a result of grouping of the
engine with clutch, gear box
and differential, the repair
and adjustments become
difficult due to congestion at
the rear.
