Autoguidance
The manual override system is changed to a more robust solution
with an electrical sensor that eliminates hydraulic system interface
(which is sensitive to temperature) when the operator overrides
autoguidance manually
FNRP Lever
This new FNRP system allows the operator to choose to shuttle
the tractor with either the left hand steering column, or the right
hand in the multifunction control handle. The forward and reverse
position are momentary so the handle returns to the centre
position when the handle is released. This allows for the right
hand shuttle. Park position is achieved by pushing the lever down
and forward (right).

Cab Suspension
Cab Suspension
Cab suspension is now available on all models, providing a more comfortable ride, reducing
operator fatigue and increasing productivity. This is a four point suspension system with iso-
mounts in the front and adjustable shocks in the rear.
13
Engine Power Management/Powerboost
Engine Power Management or Power Boost is equipped on Magnum and T8 tractors. Power Boost
allows the engine horsepower to be automatically boosted by up to 35 horsepower, model dependent,
under the following conditions:
• For Transport operations, power boost is available from 14th and higher .
• For PTO operations, power boost is available when the rear PTO is engaged and absorbing between
25 and 35 horsepower.
• For Hydraulic remote valve operations, power boost is available when external hydraulic oil
requirements are in operation and are absorbing between 25 and 35 horsepower.
14
Tier IV – SCR system
The CNH has chosen Selective Catalytic Reduction as the solution to meeting stringent Tier 4A
emissions regulations. High horsepower tractors require more fuel to power them, so it is the CNH
design to use SCR technology to keep fuel costs low.

Intake
These tractors are equipped with a single air filter located on the right side of the tractor, underneath the
air filter cover. the air filter is easily accessible from the right side of the tractor with no need to open the
hood. The intake stacks located on cab for improved styling, performance, and better visibility.
17
Cooling
A new cooling package is equipped, including a radiator, charge air cooler, oil cooler, condenser and fuel
cooler. The cooling package folds open from the bottom on the Magnum and to the side on the T8 to
facilitate cleaning .
A more efficient vistronic fan drive system is used. The fan speed adjusts electronically based on
temperature inputs so that the fan only spins as fast as needed. The box cooling module arrangement
allows for cooler air to enter the radiator, charge air cooler and oil cooler, which subsequently allows the
fan to turn slower and minimize power losses.
18
Driveline
The drop box is similar to the one that is on the previous Magnum but with different casting. There is 10%
speed increase through this gear box. This is the first time that the New Holland brand has used a drop
box for this platform
19
Front axle. New Class 4.5
The new CNH 12-bolt Class 4.5 non-suspension front axle is standard on the Magnum 235,260, T8.275
and T8.300 tractors This axle replacing the Dana 10-bolt axle. The new axle is only available with
differential lock. A front tie rod is featured on this axle. This results in a small reduction of maximum
steering angle, reducing it from 55 to 52 degrees. There is no change with ratios or load capacity. Duals
and front loader are not allowed with this axle

New EHR valves CAN based
Auxiliary valve pilot heads have CAN communication and spool position feedback to eliminate flow error
caused by spool friction and flow forces. The standard flow capacity is 132 lpm per valve on Magnum and
T8. These valves are also common in the new four-wheel drive tractors. Load checks are standard in both
the raise and lower ports on the new valves.
The valves feature electronic spool position sensing, which offers the following advantages:
•More precise flow control
•Improved repeatability
