 ABSTRACT
• An organized and systematic office is essential for all
universities and organizations. There are many departments of
administration for the maintenance of college information.
• All the modules in college administration are interdependent.
They are maintained manually. So they need to be automated
and centralized.
• Administrators using the system will find that the process of
recording and retrieving student’s information.
 OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
• Main aim in developing student database management system
is to provide an easy way not only to automate all
functionalities of a college, but also to provide full functional
reports to top management of college with the finest of
details.
• So we can say the core purpose of designing “student
database management system” is to manage the task related to
the college students and to reduce time to searching of
appropriate details.
 INTRODUCTION

• The project “Student Database Management System” is

developed in HTML and PHP language. Which mainly
focuses on basic operations of an institute’s student
information system.
• Like Inserting, Deleting, students information and results.
Using this project the user can get every information about
student’s of an Institute.
 OBJECTIVES
• It provides "better and efficient" service.
• Reduce the workload of an institute.
• Faster way to get information about the students.
• Provide facility for proper monitoring, reduce paper work and
provide data security.
• All details will be available on a click for both student and
admin.
• Student database management system in not a product to
be sold, it is a bridge between the college and students.
 Advantages
• Reduces man power.
• Cost efficient.
 SCOPE OF THE SYSTEM

• This system provides the detail structure of the college campus and
its departments.
• Student database management system synchronizes the working of
all the departments.
• Student database management system is the easiest way to manage
all functionalities of a college.
EXISTING SYSTEM
• The existing system, the manual process, receiving data’s
from students and staff details are done through manual
records.
• These records are entered in manual process. In this
process it will take long time, separate workers need to
maintain the databases.
• All the college details are stored via separate databases. It
will take long time due to this process time waste, money
waste etc...
NEED FOR PROPOSED SYSTEM
• The main objective of the need for proposed system is to
provide a user-friendly interface.
• The system, which is proposed, now computerizes all the
details that are maintained manually.
• In this system we can print the details, and store the data in
excel format.
• The security can also be given as per the requirement of the
user.
 SYSTEM OVERVIEW

• There is no need to use Paper and pen.

• Checking a student details is very easy.
• Adding new student record is very easy.
• Deleting a record of a particular student is
simple.

working on this project.

can use this frequently.
