Perfect Continuous
Tense?
When you tell that you do
something you started and
happened in past time and you
did not continued it again now.
 WHAT IS PAST PERFECT
CONTINUOUS TENSE?
Past perfect continuous tense
is used to tell an action that
started and happened in past
time and not continued now.
Form : Verbal
(+) Subject + Had + Been +
Verb 1 + Ing + Complement
(+) Subject + Had + Not +
 How Is It Different?
Simple Past Tense
To tell about something that happen in
past time
S + Verb 2 + Complement.
Example : I played football last
morning

Present Perfect Tense

To tell about something happen in past
time, but still related until now
 Examples 
1 . (+) You had been collecting the papers tthis morning
(+) You had not been collecting the papers this morning
(?) Had You been collecting the papers this morning?

2 . (+) The competition had been started yesterday

(-) The competition had not been started yesterday
(?) Dad the competition been started yesterday?
