■ This chapter finds out that there are two important
things related to classroom assessment. They are
classroom assessment itself and the action after that:
desicion making.

■ Validity : The extend to which the information obtained from an


assessment instrument (e.g test) or method (e.g observation) enables you to
accomplish the purpose for which the information was collected

■Reliability : The consistency of the information obtained from one or more


assessment

■Objectivity : the score assigned by different people highly similar

Assessment

In classroom assessment, there are four things need to


be considered:
1. The purposes of classroom assessment
2. The basis of classroom assessment
3. The timing of classroom assessment
4. The method of classroom assessment

The Ethics of Assessment

1. Strive to obtain information that is highliy valid, reliable, and

2. Recognize the limitations inherent in making decision based
on information obtained from assessment;
3. Do not use information obtained from assessments to
demean or ridicule students;
4. Do not disclose assessment information about students
unless disclosure serves a compelling professional purpose
or is required by law
