From this video I understood various points as he….

Shared various experiences with his professional journey after completing MBA
in marketing from Welingkar Institute 2000 batch. He started his professional
journey with the small company named as Captech Online Pvt Ltd dealing with
secondary market debt instruments as a Pre-sales In charge and Officer where
he got room to develop lots of his own skill set to succeed in profession with
the duration of 2 and a half years. Over the time technology and market got
changed, his professional life also got a change to work as a Business
Analysist in Tata AIG General insurance. His job as a Business Analysist was
completely new for him. He never knows the actual job role.

But day after day he got the good understanding about the working of Business
Analysist. Working as a Head of Business Intelligence Unit in TATA AIG, he said
that to work as like Business Intelligence person must have certain skills like
hard number crunching skill, Expertise knowledge about working of insurance
industry, hands on experience on various advance analytics tools etc. He found
it’s very interesting and exciting field to work.
Insurance industry is very vast in India. But still it’s not completely grown
as required. Because people still don’t found the need to purchase health &
term insurance to secure their health.
The main challenges in front of the insurance industry, is that
market is not completely insured. Hence government has taken an
initiative to increase the growth of insurance industry by various
schemes like in rural areas allowing crop to be insured at very
nominal amount of premium.
At their first job as a fresher from MBA School, he was paid a
salary of 12,500 per month. He shared that the biggest weakness
for him is that unable to say no to the people. Good food & good
books are gives him a lots of happiness in life.
Finally he is very happy with his life journey along with the
professional journey which he experienced.

For MBA pursuing students he is saying that try to develop on-


market skill sets to grow more in industry. Focus on the things
which will make them a separate from others at the time of
recruitment. Think well in advance about the specialization which
they want to choose. Be logical,practical & get the steady growth.

attitude to accept the diversity is key element to succeed. She is able to open to
the diversity the HR role offered.

She suggested to the students that keep yourself updated about the industry
you are in on a daily basis. HR industry is extremely wide in terms of it’s
meaning. There are various opportunities offered by this industries to the
students in comparison of the actual placements which they provided.

Her views on the growth drivers of HR as an industry is that HR industry is still
in the growing phase. Business Partnering, Employee Engagement are two
significant growth drivers.
Strength of HR industry lies completely in Human resources. People can never
been redundant in the organization. She said that demand for HR professional
with businessmen qualities are really high.
For students guideline she said that students should set their own benchmarks
in their institutional and professional carrier. She shared her own principles/Key
tips which helped her in her life.
1. Never shy away from speaking your mind.
2. Don’t promise to the things which you can’t deliver. If you promised the
things you must deliver them.
3. Continuously reinvent yourself.

Shared his professional journey from 1994 to 2013. In1994 he has started his
carrier as engineer, where he learned the various life and professional lessons
during a period of 3 year after that he feel that he has some inner desire to start
his higher studies. He took admission at IIM Ahmadabad for Post Graduation.
After post graduation he started to job as HR with senior HR peoples of RPG
Group. In RPG he has worked for 2 years with lots of learning experiences,
diversifying groups, different challenges.
After moving from RPG Group , he has worked with various companies and
finally he got the job in best company named Thomas Cook . In Thomas cook
he started as Head HR. After couple of years, he started his Insurance
distribution business along with acting as key person for Relationship GTB (
Japanese Company).
After all of this he switched to the company named “Cipla” as Global Head- HR.

With remembering the MBA college days of IIM Ahmedabad, he said that he did
fellow ship at there. It was very interesting & full of learning days for me, where
he faced new learning methods with valuable guidelines.
He shared the experience with the one of faculty from where he learned a lot.
He found the people with such a great perspective of life, perception he has
never saw that way.
He got the success mantra from hat faculty is that “To respect the views of
others.”You must do the what situation is required.

He said that when you go back to the home you must have the feeling that you
have done something reasonable today before go to sleep.

He started his career in the Production engineering department. But few of


instance has proved him that HR plays a very crucial role in the life of the
peoples those who are working in the company. So he chose HR as a
specialization for Post Graduation.

His day starts with thinking of God , because h thinks whatever he has got is
just because of grace of the god. God grace is the key of the success for him.

He suggesting to the students to keep the sound balance in between your


personal as well as for professional life. At the time of work, work is most
important. Life should be more balance to achieve success in the professional

 What is MBWA?
-It is a style of Business Management
-Managers wonder around in an unstructured manner, through the
workplace at random to check with employees, or equipment
about the status of ongoing work.
 Features of MBWA:-

related affairs of their subordinates
-No rigid and distant management

The real power of this technique lies in
