Lifebuoy soap
Introduction: Lifebuoy is a famous and
distinctive brand of soap that was created by the Lever
Brothers soap factory in 1894. It was the first soap to
use carbolic acid, which gave it a red color and strong,
medicinal scent.
History:
History: Lifebuoy during the late 1950s and Lifebuoy
Minty Refresher in 1966
Lifebuoy was one of the most popular soaps in the
United States from approximately 1923 to the mids-50'
 When perfumed soaps took over the market. It was the
best selling medicated/health soap in North America
until roughly 1951
 It was well known for its red and yellow packaging, red
color and octagonal shape, as well as its carbolic aroma.
History:
Earlier experiments in 1936, 1938, 1939 and 1940 also
added an artificial scent to the soap, but generally
lasted only one batch.
 It was pulled from American shelves starting in 2003
and was completely phased out of the American
market by 2006.
Mission and vission:
Lifebuoy launches mission to reach 60 million children.
6 September 2014, KARACHI: Lifebuoy Pakistan has
launched a partnership with renowned members of civil
society and leading members of media and cinema to
raise awareness on the importance of handwashing with
soap.
Lifebuoy Pakistan has also announced its commitment
to pilot its global hygiene intervention model Sujawal
Tehsil in Thatta District for the commitment of saving
lives through handwashing education.
Misssion and Vission:
Global Handwashing Day (GHD) on October 15, is an
annual awareness day celebrated in over 100 countries
worldwide. To celebrate this year’s Global
Handwashing Day, Lifebuoy and its partners will be
visiting schools across the country, starting with
Sujawal Tehsil in Thatta District, to spread the
message of washing hands with soap at critical times;
before eating or preparing food and after using the
toilet can reduce diarrheal risk by 45%.

products for better hygiene and protection

difficult to move up in the segment

There are two main competitors of lifebuoy:

Conclusions:
Lifebuoy is very good soap in quality
It is available world wide
It is at very reasonable price
It is making campaigns to aware people about hygiene
