• Place a trash bag inside the
bucket.
• Poop/pee
• Fully cover the poo/pee with
leaves or dirt after each use.
• When full remove trash bag and
bury it away from camp and water
sources.
Solar Shower – You being clean will prevent disease.
• Fill with clean water
• Hang up in the sunlight
• WARNING: Water can result in
burns.
• Always check the water before
use. If too hot set in the shade
too cool.
• Use non-scented soaps – they
attract insects.
Keep Your Clothes Clean (this will prevent disease)
• It’s very easy to make a five
gallon washing machine, you just
need the following materials:
• Drill
• Plunger
• Five Gallon Bucket
• Tight fitting lid
• Cut the hole in the bucket lid to
fit the plunger handle snugly, to
ensure water doesn’t find its
way up and into your face.
Keep Your Clothes Clean (this will prevent disease)
• Drill about a dozen 1/4″ holes on
the sides and top of the plunger
to allow the water a place to
flow through.
• Rinse clothing with water
• Hang out to dry.
