EFFECTIVE RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION AS A TOOL

FOR ACHIEVING EMPLOYEE PRODUCTIVITY

IN AN ORGANISATION

 “The company is known by the people and its employees.

 HR is the combination of both qualitative and


quantitative assessment of human beings in a society.

 It doesn't mean only the size of the company but


aggregates of their KSA’S .

 Success mainly depends to an extent as to how much


experienced , capable , efficient and effective employees
are recruited.
Meaning of Selection:
Process of picking or choosing the right candidate who is
most suitable for a vacant job position in an organization.
It is a negative process .

Meaning of Recruitment:
Positive process of searching for prospective employees
and stimulating them to apply for the jobs in an
organization.

and competent persons

 People are the most important and valuable


resource

 Dynamic people build dynamic organisation

 Motivated people make things happen and enable


organisation to achieve its goals.
 To observe the procedure to select the candidates from
internal as well as from external sources in the
industries

 To find out the various recruitment sources used by


the selected industries.

 To study the employee satisfactory level with the


existing recruitment policy in the industry
 Identify practices that organizations use to recruit and
select employees .

 The study also focus its attention to determine how the


recruitment and selection practices affect the
organizational outcomes at IT and ELECTRONICS
industry and provide some suggestions that can help.

 Data analysis has been done with statistical tools like


tables, graphs and bar diagrams.

Selection and Recruitment

 Senior managers should pay more attention to the


recruitment process at all levels.

 Senior managers are more experienced ,they can


better judge the employees.

 No discrimination against anybody on the basis of


factors, such as, caste, creed, race, religion, gender
and socio-economic background.
Referrals of the employees by the staff members,
friends or family members are still an acceptable
way of filling vacancies BUT it is not the right
way of recruiting.

Fairness and justness should be the principal


significance in recruitment and the selection
process.

 Attention to be paid on increasing human resources.

 Planned strategies for recruitment and selection are to be


followed.

 Proper past record must be checked .

 Access the challenges associated with recruitment in


Ghana institutions.

 There should not be any delay in giving feedback after


interviews which leads to ineffective selection procedure.

 Employee referrals should be reduced.
