Introduction

 Afforestation is the process of planting trees, or

sowing seeds, in a barren land devoid of any trees
to create a forest.
 Afforesting is a positive effort in curbing the over-
use and destruction of natural forests.
 If afforestation is done with proper planning and
at appropriate sites, it can become a
commercially viable solution for many human
needs without harming the balance of nature.
 Many countries have introduced the practice of
planting trees along with agricultural crops in
croplands. The benefits of this practice, which is
called agro forestry

 India's new National Forest Policy to address the
challenge of climate change.
 After 30 years, India is set to get a new National Forest
Policy which addresses the new realities climate change
human-animal conflict and declining green cover.
 The ministry of environment, forest and climate change
has framed a new draft National Forest Policy 2018
which proposes climate change mitigation through
sustainable forest management
 The 2018 draft policy retains this clause saying, “public-
private participation models will be developed for
undertaking afforestation and reforestation activities in
degraded forest areas

Objectives of the Project

 To implement afforestation near Leprosy Hospital,

Chambaghat and Govt. Senior Sec School,
Kotho.
 Afforestation and regeneration of degraded
areas of these places.
 Protection of environment in order to promote
sustainable development.
 Create an environment consciousness in young
people that will have future benefits.
 Prevention and control of pollution.
Our motive of The Project

 Afforestation can restore forests, and also helps

protect again soil erosion and flooding.
 It will be beneficial for the patients as they will get
fresh air near the hospital and also for the children
as they will grow and play around the trees.
 We can increase Greenery.
 It aids to minimize Global warming.
 It reduces soil erosion.
 It increases content of oxygen in environment.
