How do we set up

Wayside Shop
In order to set up a Shop in Wayside
Store we have to go to Wayside Store
website by typing
www.wayside.store
In the customer page if we click
the "FOR SHOP" button, we will
land in the Shop Page. Here we
can scroll the page to reach the
bottom of the page. to find a
small form for New Registration
of Shop
In the form we need to enter the
name of the shop; email id, mobile
number, PAN number of the
Shop/Owner to register for creating
our Shop. We can set our own
password to be used for login to our
Shop later. On submission an email
will be sent to the given id.
In the email we will find the
login credentials. once "Visit
Shop" button is clicked we will
go to the login page.
By entering the email ID and
the password declared by us
we can enter the shop web
portal where we can
create/edit our shop
While creating our shop the first
thing we will do is to give a name
to the shop. We will upload a
beautiful picture of the frontage of
our shop by clicking the change
photograph button so that when
our customers will be in front of
our shop they will be able to
identify the shop from the
photograph in the wayside
customer app.
When our customer gives any
order we should be able to
deliver it the moment they
reach in front of our shop or
our delivery point. So we
should define the minimum
time required for the delivery
from the time of placing the
order. This is setting of lead
time.
Again a customer may
change her mind and decide
to cancel the order. However,
we should not make loss by
preparing for delivery in case
the order is cancelled.
By setting the cancellation
time we can protect ourselves
from late order cancelations as
the customer will not be able
to cancel within the set
cancelation duration.
Customer may place order at
hours when our shops are not
open. So that customers do
not suffer due to our inability
to deliver at such hours we
should declare our working
hours by setting shop open and
shop close times
Wayside Store will send our
due payments once it is
cleared by the payment
gateway in case of electronic
payments. We will therefore
keep our Bank Account details
stored in Wayside database by
entering the particulars in the
defined fields.
Contact information like
email, phone and postal
address of the shop are to be
provided which are essential
for identification, transactions
and contact by the customer.
Such details will be displayed
in the orders as well.
Once we identify the location
of the shop in the map and set
the pointer there, the
longitude and latitude will be
automatically picked up and
shops GPS location will be
defined for all purposes
When we are done with entering
all required information about the
shop we will upload details of our
products for sale. The first thing
that we have to do for product
display is to create the
appropriate sub categories suiting
to our products under the fixed
Main Categories of Wayside Store.
For that we will click the shop
category button. Here we will
enter the name of our sub
categories like biscuits, cakes
etc. for a main category of
bakery.
Then we will create the
display of our product by
clicking Product button and
arrive at the form below. In
the form we will enter the
exact name of the product
as we want to sell like ginger
biscuit.
In the main category we will
click and select appropriate
category like baker for ginger
biscuit. We will also select sub
category like biscuit for the
item ginger biscuit. Then we
will add the photograph of the
product and save.
Immediately our shop will be
visible to the customers using
Wayside app in our area.
We can add delivery points to
our shop to help customers
unable to pick up in front of
our shop or just to increase
our points of sale. We will click
the delivery point button and
add delivery points.
As in case of the shop, GPS
location of our delivery points
also will be defined by resting
the pointer in appropriate
location in the map. We will
add some name and its
address to our delivery point
for better identification
If some other shop acts as our
delivery point we will put their
name and address as delivery
point name.
Once saved our delivery points
can be edited or deleted if
required. we can have as many
delivery points as we need. The
list will be stored in wayside
database and shown to our
customers for their selection of
delivery location.
The shop web portal also gives
us the facility of monitoring
orders or even acting on it
from the comfort of the
desktop or laptop machines
instead of mobile phones in our
shop. It furthers provides with
the facility of monitoring sales
records.
