Speech choirs are performance groups that recite speeches or poems in unison, often with elements of choreography and costuming. There are two main types: conventional/traditional speech choirs that simply speak without additional elements, and dynamic/theatrical speech choirs that incorporate movement and costumes. Successful speech choirs consider elements like voice quality and pitch, tempo, staging, and the use of volume, phrasing, and rhythm to effectively express the meaning and emotion of the piece.
