Company Introduction
• Maruti Suzuki India Limited, formerly known
as Maruti Udyog Limited, is an automobile
manufacturer in India.

• It is a 56.21% owned subsidiary of the Japanese car


and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki Motor
Corporation. As of July 2018, it had a market share
of 53% of the Indian passenger car market.

• Maruti Suzuki manufactures and sells popular cars


such as the Ciaz, Ertiga, Wagon
R, Alto, Swift, Celerio, Swift Dzire, Baleno,
Omni, Alto800, Eeco, Igniss, SX4, S-Cross.

• The company is headquartered at New Delhi. In May


2015, the company produced its fifteenth millionth
vehicle in India, a Swift Dzire.

WORKS DURING SERVICES IN WORKSHOP
1. Replacement of the Air filter

• Air filter is a device composed of fibrous materials which


removes solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mould, and
bacteriar from the air.

• Regulaly changing the air filter is an inexpensive way to


extend the life of an engine. Small particles of dust or sand
can cause damage to internal parts such as pistons and
cylinders.

• The engine air filter should be replaced between 15,000 and


30,000 miles,
2.Wheel Alignment

• It is all about adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they


are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other.
The purpose of these adjustments is for maximum tire life
and a vehicle that tracks straight and true when driving along
a straight and level road.

• A camera unit (sometimes called a "head") is attached to a


specially designed clamp which holds on to a wheel. There
are usually four camera units in a wheel alignment system (a
camera unit for each wheel). The camera units communicate
their physical positioning with respect to other camera units
to a central computer which calculates and displays.

• Often, the wheel alignment is recommended when new tires


are installed.
3. Wheel BALANCING
 Wheel balancing also known as tire
balancing is the process of equalizing
the weight of the combined
tire and wheel assembly so that it
spins smoothly at high speed.
 Balancing involves putting
the wheel/tire assembly on a
balancer, which centers
the wheel and spins it to determine
where the weights should go.
 Prevents vibration of the vehicle.
 Material used for preparation of
weights are Lead, Zinc and Steel

4.Final Inspection
• In final inspection, the last inspection is done so that there
should not be any single problem left in the vehicle before
handing it over to the customer.

• This is the final checkout after finishing all maintenance and


service tasks.

• Checklist made prior to maintenance task, based on ‘Job


Card’ details is validated under the guidance of Floor
Controller.

• External components dismantled before services are


assembled back and the automobile passes on to the Quality
Controller to check the After Service performance

• This increases the customer satisfaction and hence


increases the standard of the workshop as well as the service
which is providing
