What have you learned today technique
Notice, here, that you’re not the one telling them what they’ve learned. They may give you
a list of new words, or say they learned to speak about what they did in the past or what
they will do in the future,.

Sentences Making
Let your learner to use the keywords in their own sentence. To check their understanding about
the keywords and their grammar.

Supplementary Activities
Play around a bit. Go on with some activities related with your lesson. Let them feel that
learning English with you is FUN-tastic.

Performance correction and feedback
Usually we don’t correct students during the role play so we don’t interrupt the
flow, but when they’re done you can end the class with corrections of words or
expressions they used incorrectly; things they forgot to say, etc. Use the sandwich
method on assessing your learner (positive-negative-positive).

Goodbye Song
For very young ESL learners the best way to wrap up a lesson is with a goodbye song.
This way children know what to expect, and even though they may be very young,
they will still have this sense of closure.

Always wrap up the lesson in ways that benefit
student learning and emphasize the purpose of
the session with review and closure.

After class, your students will think about these

corrections fresh on their minds.
