KEY CONENT / LEARNING POINTS/ KEY POINTS FOR UNDERSTANDING
• Key content: Curriculum content, teaching pedagogies and learning
assessment tools.

• Learning Points:
1.AEROBIC FOR MUSCLE AND BONE STRENGTHENING ACTIVITIES
• Key Points for Understanding:
 Improving one’s health to assess and evaluate the performance, and
the career opportunity of the learners by performing innovative
aerobic, muscle – and bone strengthening activities.

 Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic

exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of
improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and
cardio-vascular fitness).

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION – BUREAU OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

KEY POINTS OF UNDERSTANDING
 Bone-Strengthening Activity this is a kind
of activity (sometimes called weight-bearing
or weight-loading activity) that promotes
bone growth and strength.
 Muscle-strengthening activities make
muscles do more work than they are
accustomed to doing. That is, they overload
the muscles. Resistance training, including
weight training, is a familiar example of
muscle-strengthening activity.

innovative aerobic and muscle – and bone strengthening
activities.

accustomed to doing. That is, they overload
the muscles. Resistance training, including
weight training, is a familiar example of
muscle-strengthening activity.
